Does the word obligation make your stomach turn in unease? For many of us, being obligated to do something is typically associated with force, or a lack of choice. In this message, Pastor Bruce unpacks this sometimes heavy word to show us the freedom that we can find in obligation. In the epistle of 2 Corinthians 3:17, the apostle Pauls writes, “Now the Lord is the Spirit. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” As Christians, we do have an obligation to be Spirit led, living examples of Christ to the world. However, there is a freedom that comes from living by the Spirit. As scary as it might seem to follow obediently outside our comfort zones, we can trust our obligations as followers of Christ.
