At Essential Rock, we believe that each of us has been made to engage in the work of Christ according to the gifts and passions given to us by the Holy Spirit for the purpose of building His Kingdom. When we each contribute, our church is better able to fulfill our purpose. Ephesians 2:10 says: “We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

We believe that volunteering:

  • Models the life of Jesus (Mark 10:45)
  • Utilizes the spiritual gifts God has given us (I Peter 4:10-11)
  • Reduces our natural self-centeredness (Philippians 2:3-4)
  • Should be our desire (Romans 12:1-2)

Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Here is how you can get involved in some of the volunteer opportunities we have here through ERC:

  • Guest Services

    We desire to warmly welcome everyone with the love of Christ as they enter the doors to our church. If you love people and would like to be on our greeting or ushering teams, please fill out a contact form and let us know how you would like to help us make Essential Rock the kind of church where everyone feels right at home.

  • Snacks and Refreshments Team

    Here at Essential Rock, we enjoy a time of fellowship after each church service. We like to offer various snacks and non-alcoholic beverages at our coffee bar to everyone who walks through our doors. If you love to bake, or would like to help us serve by bringing in your favorite store-bought snack, please reach out to Sherry Miller.

  • Children's Ministry

    If you enjoy working with children, we would love to have you help us serve in our Children's Church or nursery on Sunday mornings. To learn more, visit our Children's page.

  • Technical Team

    Our weekend services and special events would not be successful without the many hands and feet that work together behind the scenes with technology to create a warm and inviting spiritual atmosphere. Contact Todd Vahlsing to learn more.

  • Worship Team and Music Ministry

    This team leads worship through music at weekend services and special events. Their purpose is to lead the congregation into focusing their hearts on God, being open to the message of His word, and responding to Him in ways that bring Him glory. To learn more, please contact Jake Hietpas.

  • Facility Care

    ERC is blessed to have a beautiful building! Imagine what it would look like if we didn't have people constantly working behind the scenes to maintain the cleanliness and beauty of the building as well as the upkeep and maintenance of grounds.
